I love starting new projects! The excitement of picking out new supplies in new colors and new textures! Its about half way or three quarters of the way through the project that my excitement peters out and I'm ready to start something new. Maybe this is why I have so many unfinished projects. Well I have two new projects starting up, the first is a Grandmothers Flower Garden (GMFG) quilt.
This is such a beautiful quilt. Its a commissioned piece that I have to finish and put on the borders. I have about 4 or 5 more blocks to add then two of the sides have to be appliqued onto the border fabric. I'm taking my time, not rushing so I don't get burned out.
My other new project- I joined a sweater knit-a-long at A Grand Skein. Its every Wednesday from 1-3 and there is a wonderful instructor, Amy, there to help me along. I'm such a newbie to knitting I don't think she had time to help anyone else with me monopolizing all her time!!
I am going to try making this ribbed cardigan. My main color will be the sage and then its trimmed in the toasted pecan and the thin dark accent in the dark gray. I'm still excited about it even after starting and unraveling 3 times! After my 4th attempt I am happy to say that I have 4 wonderful rows going!!
